David W. Jones is an experienced trial lawyer with nearly three decades of experience practicing in Metro Detroit where he has earned a reputation as one of the region’s most respected criminal defense attorneys and civil litigators. Known for his courtroom presence, relentless advocacy, and effective cross examinations, David has defended clients in some of Michigan’s most high-profile cases. He has developed a sterling reputation while representing individuals, elected officials, professional athletes, townships, and municipalities.
Beyond his litigation practice, David has a robust background as general counsel and in executive leadership roles. David also negotiates multi-million-dollar contracts on behalf of his NFL clients in his role as a Certified Contract Advisor for the National Football League Players Association. David’s career reflects not only his commitment to excellence, but a deep commitment to safeguarding individual rights.
Active in his community, David has served on the Public Lighting Authority and Detroit Board of Ethics (Mayoral appointments), the Michigan Indigent Defense Commission (Gubernatorial appointment), and he serves on the Supreme Court DEI Commission as appointed by the Michigan Supreme Court. A former MHSAA Football and Basketball Official, David was also a NCAA Basketball Official for 15 years
